It is with great sadness that the Huddersfield & District Junior League announce the very sad passing of our secretary Ursula Spencer. Ursula passed away on Tuesday 24th August following a short illness.

Ursula served with the HJFL for a number of years initially as registration secretary and latterly as league secretary. Ursula was passionate about junior football and worked countless hours to ensure all children had the opportunity to play in our league. 

Ursula's tireless work was instrumental in us winning the WRCFA Charter Standard League of the Year in 2019.

Anyone who had the privilege to meet Ursula will know what a caring person she was who always put other people before herself.

Ursula will be missed greatly by not only the league but all the grassroot clubs which are part of it.

The Huddersfield & District Junior League would like to send their deepest condolences to Ursula’s family.
